CAIRO - 16 February 2020: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry met on Saturday with Iraqi counterpart Mohamed Ali al-Hakim on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference 2020 to discuss activating security and intelligence cooperation, and exchanging information in the counterterrorism realm.

Both ministers asserted the necessity of strengthening bilateral relations by exchanging visits, coordinating stances, and mutually supporting candidates from each country to hold regional and international positions.

Shokr and al-Hakim also agreed to sign a number of memoranda of understanding as soon as possible.

Shokry had also met on Saturday with Slovenian Foreign Minister Miro Cerar as they discussed economic relations, and coordination over regional and international affairs of mutual interest.
