CAIRO - 15 February 2020: After attending the tripartite meetings between Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia on the controversial Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam in Washington D.C, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed on Friday evening to Germany’s Munich to participate in the 56th session of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) due on February 14-16, 2020, said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez in a statement.

The MSC focuses on the future of the European Union, and the challenges and crises that took place on regional and international arenas.

Minister Shoukry will participate in several sessions and events on the sidelines of the conference, shedding light on the Egyptian vision on how to deal with various regional and international issues, Hafez added.

The Foreign Minister will also hold talks with a large number of officials participating in the conference to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and relations on the issues of mutual concern.

Hafez affirmed Egypt’s keenness to participate in the MSC as it is one of the important international forums that care about international peace and security.
