CAIRO – 19 June 2017: At least ten pedestrians were hit by a van near London's Finsbury Park Station on Monday, media outlets reported.
The van veered onto a pavement near a north London mosque and started driving into people, resulting severe injuries.
The attack took place as worshipers finished their late-night prayers at the mosque.
Eyewitnesses, according to media reports, reported seeing people started chasing after the suspect and pinned him down until the police arrived to the scene.
Dozens of police cars and forces cordoned off a large area of the crime scene where stunned locals gathered, news outlets reported.
According to British police reports, the vehicle that ran off the victims appears to have been rented from a company based in Wales, as it had “Pontyclun Van Hire” written on it.
The incident follows two terrorist attacks that took place a matter of weeks ago at Westminster, Manchester and London Bridge.
