CAIRO - 27 January 2020: The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution issued a decision to imprison two Kuwaiti citizens after they exploited tens of Egyptians to work in Kuwait for 1,500 Kuwaiti dinars (LE 79,000) each, without issuing them a residency.

The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution accused the Kuwaiti citizens with human trafficking and facilitating obtaining the Kuwaiti residency for foreigners in exchange for money.

Dozens of Egyptian workers in Kuwait lodged complaints at the Kuwaiti Workforce Administration and the Ministry of Interior against the Kuwaitis; they said that after they arrived in Kuwait to work and after paying large sums of money to them, they did not find a home.

The sources added that there are two registered cases against the Kuwaiti convicts, one of which is still pending before the Egyptian judiciary, and the other is in Kuwait
