CAIRO, Jan 27 (MENA) - Education Minister's Adviser Habiba Ezz said the ministry is scheduled to sign a series of protocols with new partners after the mid-year vacation for establishing more applied technology schools in various governorates.
In an interview with MENA on Monday, she said the ministry plans to establish 10 new applied technology schools every year for the number of schools to reach 100 by 2030, noting that these schools are the locomotive for developing technical education in Egypt.
The door will open for enrollment at these schools in July, she said, noting that students will then undergo admission tests.
She said the goal of establishing these schools is to have skilled Egyptian workers to join the labor market inside and outside the country.
The Education Ministry offers all needed logistic services for its students, she said, noting that training sessions will be organized for teachers and students.
She noted that the authority for assessing technical education quality will go into service after the approval of the parliament and cabinet on its law.
This authority will start assessing the newly established schools after three years of operation.
