CAIRO, Jan 26 (MENA) - Chairman of the parliamentary industry committee Farag Amer stressed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is deeply interested in promoting the industrial sector, especially in Upper Egypt.
He made the remarks on Sunday during a committee meeting to review an interpellation filed by MP Mohamed Abdel Aziz el Ghoul on the problem of pressed wood imports.
Amer said Sisi is following up industrial projects in Upper Egypt, urging the government to swiftly settle problems of financially-strapped factories, especially those located there.
He also called on the government to solve the problem of the Nagaa Hammadi factory which is the largest factory in the Middle East in producing fiberboard - a type of engineered wood product.
