CAIRO – 26 January 2019: The chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, member of the Egyptian Parties Coalition, Khaled Fouad, said on Saturday that the coalition’s role will be extended to take part in developing the country economically, socially and politically.
Fouad added during a ceremony held to celebrate the National day of the Egyptian police that the Egyptian parties will stand with the police and security forces to defeat terrorism.
The chairman of the Liberal Socialists Party, Tarek Darweesh, said that the police is the first defence line to protect the internal Egyptian security, thanks to their efforts terrorism failed to threaten the country’s stability.
Darweesh pointed out that the police are still confronting a host of threats and plots, sacrificing during the confrontations several martyrs for the safety of the nation.
In the same context, Medhat Barakat, head of Egypt’s Children Party, shed a light on the heroic history of the police during several hard times the nation went through, such as, the war during the fifties to liberate Suez Canal from foreign occupation.
Barakat asserted that no development, nor renaissance, will take place without the presence of strong Egyptian police.
