Ex-military-man Anan released

CAIRO – 22 December 2019: Egyptian authorities released on Sunday the ex-military chief of staff Sami Anan who was jailed for nearly two years on fraud charges, reported Youm7.

Anan’s family told reporters that he is at home now and in good health. The ex-military man was jailed in January 2018 as per a military court’s verdict.

Anan, now at home, was detained in January 2018 and was held in a military prison, sources close to his family had said.
