CAIRO, Dec 3 (MENA) - The Egyptian government is committed to boosting cooperation and coordination with all African states in the fields of development and administrative reform, Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform Hala el Saeed said.

Said made the remarks during the opening of the 40th Round-table Conference of the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM), which kicked off on Tuesday in Cairo under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Proud of belonging to the African community, Egypt takes pride in organizing such an important African event under its current presidency of the African Union (AU), the minister added.

The conference seeks to raise community awareness about service projects across the continent to achieve development, she noted.

AAPAM Secretary General George Scott attended the conference, along with a host of African ministers and ambassadors.

Held under the theme "Transforming Institutions in Africa for Sustainable Development", the conference is scheduled to wrap up on Friday.
