CAIRO – 25 November 2019: The Egyptian Government stated that the countries of the Middle East are working on solving the regional issues politically, expressing its confidence that the countries will overcome all challenges.
In his speech at the Jordan-chaired Conference of Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Weapons of Mass Destruction, Egypt's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mohamed Idris said that those who are following up the latest development in the region would realize that most states sat together to discuss very sensitive issues.
"The region countries also discussed the importance of establishing Middle East free of nuclear or mass destruction weapons," the ambassador continued.
The first session of the conference kicked off on November 18 and ended on November 22 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
