Sisi directs to continue promoting traditional handicrafts nationwide

CAIRO - 21 October 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi directed on Sunday to continue promoting traditional handicrafts in all governorates, especially in light of the state's plan to support small industries.

Sisi's remarks came during a meeting with Menoufia Governor Saeed Abbas, according to a statement issued by Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

The meeting tackled efforts to develop traditional handicrafts in Menoufia through making good use of different expertise in this sector and organizing a number of internal exhibitions, the statement added.

President Sisi ordered the implementation of all plans and projects on traditional handicrafts, in addition to focusing on vocational training, providing necessary infrastructure and adopting the latest marketing methods in this sector, the spokesman noted.
