CAIRO, Oct 8 (MENA) - Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit had talks on Tuesday with Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic, currently on a visit to Egypt, where they discussed issues of mutual concern and Arab-Montenegrin relations.
A source at the Arab League General Secretariat said the two sides exchanged viewpoints on a number of issues of mutual concern and bilateral relations between the pan-Arab body and Montenegro.
Abul Gheit expressed keenness on boosting relations between the two sides, praising the positive stances of Montenegro at the international arena towards Arab issue especially its support to the Palestinian cause.
He expressed hope that Montenegro would continue to play its positive role in backing the security, peace and stability of the Arab region.
For his part, Darmanovic reiterated the importance of working during the coming phase on expanding political, economic and trade exchange with the Arab world under the umbrella of the Arab League.
