CAIRO, Oct 3 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Memorial on the 46th anniversary of October War victory.
Sisi also laid a wreath on the tomb of late president Anwar el Sadat, the hero of war and peace.
He chatted with Sadat's family members then shook hands with a number of statesmen, including the premier, grand imam of al Azhar and Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria.
Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid welcomed Sisi upon his arrival at the Memorial of Unknown Soldier.
Then, Sisi headed to the tomb of late president Gamal Abdel Nasser and shook hands with his family members.
Sisi also presided over a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
Sisi greeted the Egyptians over October War victory anniversary.
The meeting tackled a number of files related to the Armed Forces activities and their efforts to preserve national security.
