CAIRO - 2 October 2019: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated on Wednesday (Oct. 2) "Torathona" (translated as Our Heritage) exhibition for handcrafts, organized by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Authority during the period from October 2 to October 6.
President Sisi met with most of the exhibitors and project owners from different governorates, where he encouraged them to expand and increase production to provide new job opportunities and to transfer their technical and industrial expertise to the less professional craftsmen, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.
During his tour at the exhibition, President Sisi listened to the proposals of the exhibitors on increasing the competitiveness of these distinctive products and marketing them inside and outside Egypt.
In this regard, Sisi ordered increasing financial support provided to the exhibition by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, and also reviewing the possibility to hold the exhibition permanently throughout the year.
Nevin Game', head of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, for her part, said that Sisi's dialogue with people at the exhibition gave a very positive impression to the exhibitors, as the president was keen to listen to the problems and challenges facing them.
She added during a telephone interview with Salat al-Tahrir on Sada al-Balad TV channel that the president accepted all the invitations offered by the exhibitors to have a look on their products.
