Egyptian army soldiers stand guard in North Sinai – Reuters
CAIRO - 29 September 2019: Fifteen terrorists were killed in a shoot-out with security forces in Arish city, North Sinai, announced Egypt’s Ministry of Interior in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, the security forces have been reported that a group of terrorists were hiding in a place at Arish and were plotting a terrorist attack against the state. When security forces moved to their hotbed, fire exchange occurred between the terrorists and the security forces.
Nine rifles, three shotguns, two bombs, and an explosive belt were seized by security forces, the statement continued.
On September 27,a total of 118 terrorists were killed, 33 shelters were destroyed and 273 explosive devices were defused by Egypt’s forces during military operations in central and North Sinai, according to Friday statement.
Eleven tunnels were announced completely closed, along with seizing fifteen automatic rifles, three guns and two Rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) with the terrorists.
