Facebook page to publicize law of reconciliation in building violations: Min.

CAIRO - 24 September 2019: The Ministry of Housing launched an official page on Facebook under the name "Reconciliation Law on Certain Building Offenses" in light of the Law on Reconciliation of Building Violations.

Head of Housing and Utilities Sector Nafisa Hashim said on Tuesday that the page aims to respond to citizens' queries and clarify the mechanism of implementing the law and its executive regulations.

She pointed out that the launch of the page comes within the framework of the Ministry of Housing's keenness to reconcile some building violations, according to the instructions of the minister of housing.

In March, the House of Representatives headed by Ali Abdel Aalwas approved a bill submitted by the government on reconciliation ofbuildings' violations.

The bill allows reconciliation in the buildings that were constructed in violation of thelaws regulating the building process.The draft law bans reconciliation in cases where safety standards are not applied in construction.
