CAIRO, 3 September 2019: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated on Tuesday his keenness on maintaining consultation with senior officials of international financial institutions to support economic development in Egypt.

During a meeting with Chief Executive of the World Bank Kristalina Georgieva, the president said that consultations with international financial institutions are necessary to support Egypt's economic development plans, which he said represent a strategic approach to achieve sustainable economic development, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi also thanked Georgieva for her keenness to meet the Egyptian government as part of her efforts to mobilize support for her nomination for the post of the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The president stressed Egypt's keenness on supporting policies of international financial institutions to achieve comprehensive economic growth in Africa through the establishment of development projects, especially in the areas of electricity and transportation.
