CAIRO - 2 September 2019: Egypt's third edition of the World Youth Forum 2019 (WYT) was announced on September 2 to be held on December 14- 17 in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Registration for participants from all over the world is available on the website, according to the forum'sadministration.The discussions of this year's forumaim at exchanging thoughts and ideas regarding peace and innovation among youth.
WYT is an annual event held under theauspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi; it wasannounced to be organized for the first time in 2017 during the fourth National Youth Conference in Alexandria.
In November 2018, nearly 122,000 youth from 195 countries registered for the second edition of WYFhosted in Sharm el-Sheikh and5,000 youth from 145 countries were hosted in the forum, compared to 3,000 participants in 2017.
In the 2017 edition, the participating leaders and experts discussed various international and regional issues, including crises of migration and refugees, democracy and human rights, African stability and development, and globalization and cultural identity, as well as technology and social media and their impact on the population.
