CAIRO, Aug 26 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed the importance of continued cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to magnify the benefit of its support for trade unions in Egypt.
Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting on Monday with Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan on a host of labor issues.
During the meeting, Saafan said Egypt has fulfilled the commitments it undertook before the ILO's Committee on the Application of Standards (CAS), an offshoot of the 108th Session of the International Labor Conference which was held in Geneva in June.
He also referred to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's recent amendments of some provisions of the law of trade unions.
He stressed that the ministry treats all trade unions on an equal footing, highlighting the importance of furthering cooperation with ILO.
