CAIRO - 11 August 2019: Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abu El Gheit vehemently condemned the terrorist attack that took place in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, killing three UN staff members and two other mission members on Saturday.

The AL chief offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured, a well-placed source with the AL said on Sunday.

Abul Ghiet called on all Libyan warring parties to respect the UN-brokered humanitarian truce during Eid Al Adha and resume the political path, which is deemed the sole way to reach a permanent solution to the Libyan crisis, the source added.
