CAIRO - 4 August 2019: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, and the Ministry of Defense’s Command of Civil and Military Defense signed a cooperation protocol to deliver military education to freshmen students at technical high schools.
The protocol aims at promoting discipline among students and boosting their sense of belonging. It will go into effect in the upcoming academic year 2019/2020 in 27 technical industrial schools. Each of those is located in one of Egypt’s governorates whose number is 27.
The military curricula will be taught by carefully selected officers. The subjects will be "pass or fail courses" but their grades would not count into the total grades of the students. The schools where military education will take place will introduce computers, projectors, screens, and sound systems while securing the necessary training rooms, space, and administrative offices. A discipline system targeting junior and senior students will be adopted.
