PM orders launch of Umra portal

CAIRO, July 29 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has directed the Tourism Ministry to launch a portal to tackle all affairs of the lesser pilgrimage (Umra).

An "Egyptian Umra Portal" should be supervised by the Tourism Ministry, Madbouli said Monday.

It should help implement strategic plans in the field of tourism and should guarantee pilgrims receive best services.

Correct and accurate information should be posted on the portal, which is also meant to cope with technological updates related to service automation.

All this is done as part of a 2030 sustainable development plan.
