BAGHDAD - 28 July 2019: The Iraqi Observatory for Victims of Human Trafficking (IOVHT) reported 27 human trafficking networks in Iraqi's capital, Baghdad, and other governorates throughout the past five months.
The observatory called for protecting and helping the victims and activating the role of the higher central committee of anti-human trafficking as well as the anti-trafficking law.
During the period between February-July 2019, the IOVHT documented 27 human trafficking networks and six trafficking violations in Baghdad and other Iraqi governorates, the observatory said in a report quoted by Alsumaria channel.
Most of Human trafficking networks take safe heaven in Kurdistan where they lure victims and steal their organs, the statement added.
