CAIRO – 24 July 2019: French Minister of Armed Forces Florence Parlyhailed on Tuesday the Egyptian-French cooperation and strong relations especially in countering terrorism.
During her speech at the Egyptian Embassy in Paris on the 67th anniversary of July 23 Revolution, Parlysaid that the Egyptian-French friendship has been enhanced and strengthened during the past period.
Parlyalso hailed the recent "Ramses 2019" military exercise jointly held bythe two countries.
Parlyparticipated Tuesday in a ceremony organized by the Egyptian Embassy in Paris to celebrate the 67th anniversary of July 23 Revolution.A host of French senior officials, political and media figures have also attended the ceremony along with prominent members of the Egyptian expat community in France.
The event was held at the residence place of Egypt's Ambassador in Paris and permanent representative to UNESCO EhabBadawi.
Egypt's Ambassador to France EhabBadawi stressed during his speech on the importance of the Egyptian-French strategic partnership.
Badawireferred to the"Egypt-France Cultural Year," which also coincided with the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of the Suez Canal.
This year has also witnessed several cultural events, most prominentlythe exhibition “Tutankhamun, Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh” in Paris, which reflects the French people's admiration of the Egyptian civilization, Badawi added.
Badawi highlighted the close cooperation between the two countries to combat terrorism and put an end to Middle Eastern crises.
