TORONTO, July 22 (MENA) - Immigration Minister Nabila Makram raised on Monday the Egyptian flag outside the building of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in Canada for the first time on the anniversary of the July 23 revolution.
Delivering a speech on this occasion, Makram extended thanks to the Ontario government and its prime minister Doug Ford for cooperation to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the July 23 revolution.
She also praised efforts exerted by the Egyptian expatriates in Canada to honor their identity.
For his part, Egyptian ambassador to Canada Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the July 23 revolution reflected the Egyptian people's desire to have a better future and a decent life.
He added that the embassy will carry out a number of activities in the near future to promote Egyptian-Canadian relations.
