GAZA CITY, July 15 (MENA) - Israeli occupation forces on Monday morning targeted boats of Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip's sea and pushed into eastern Rafah city in the surroundings of Al Motbaq gate.

Palestinian sources said 11 Israeli bulldozers stormed eastern Rafah city and scooped up farmlands. None was harmed.

Meanwhile, Israeli gunboats targeted Palestinian fishing boats with a hail of gunfire off the shore al-Sudanyeh, three miles northwest of Gaza.

Israeli occupation forces are regularly targeting Palestinian fishermen and farmlands on the border area with Gaza.

The Israeli army attacks against Palestinian fishing boats in the Gaza Strip coincide with the suffocating restrictions imposed to prevent the fishermen from sailing and fishing.

According to human rights activists, the Israeli authorities do not commit to the limited fishing area of 20 nautical miles sanctioned by the 1993 Oslo Agreement.

They accuse the Israeli authorities of intentionally harming the fishermen's livelihoods by decreasing their fishing zone to between 3-6 nautical miles thus denying them access to fish breeding areas.
