Hamas Delegations Visit Doha and Tehran

CAIRO – 10 June 2017: Hamas leaders travelled to the Qatari capital of Doha to arrange internal affairs following internal elections in February, according to Hamas Head of International Relations, Osama Hamdan.

Hamdan said that the delegation had arrived in Doha prior to the break in diplomatic ties between several Arab countries and Qatar. He told Russia Today that the would support easing the blockade imposed by the Arab countries.

The Hamas leader said the delegation, headed by newly elected leader Ismail Haniya, would visit the Iranian Capital Tehran soon, as part of a tour of other countries he did not name.

Hamdan added that Hamas delegation to Cairo, led by group’s head in Gaza Strip Yehya el Senwar, would return soon, and that the visit might have a fruitful outcome for both parties.
