CAIRO, July 9 (MENA) - A coordination meeting of Egyptian entities abroad opened here on Tuesday to prepare for a conference to start Friday.
The meeting, the fourth to be organized ahead of the two-day conference, focused on the big role those entities play in the current stage, said Mazen Fahmy, an assistant to the immigration minister.
The conference next week will be a chance to listen to queries and suggestions of the Egyptian entities abroad, Fahmy said.
It is meant to enhance direct communication between those entities and government bodies, he added.
According to him, the conference will also offer a good opportunity to promote cooperation between the State and those overseas entities with the aim to unify national understandings.
Those entities are part of Egypt's national security, Fahmy stressed, adding they do play a big role in the current stage, particularly in the fields of information technology, economy, tourism and media.
Fifty-one entities from 33 countries will be taking part in the conference, Fahmy noted.
