CAIRO, July 2 (MENA) - New Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang hoped the Egyptian national team would win the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2019), especially as football star Mohamed Salah is joining the team.

In statements to MENA on Tuesday, he noted that he attended the inauguration of the African Cup of Nations which took place several days after his arrival to Cairo to assume his new post.

He stressed his commitment to enhancing cooperation between Egypt and China.
