Egyptians celebrate 6th anniversary of 30 June Revolution

CAIRO- 29 June 2019: On the sixth anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, Egyptian on social media celebrated the removal of a one-year-old ruling of the outlawed organization of the Muslims Brotherhood.

Egyptians on Twitter have posted several photos and videos showing their celebrations of the removal of late and ousted president Mohamed Morsi’s regime by the military on July 3, 2013 following million-man demonstrations nationwide on June 30, using hashtags of #تحيا_مصر #30يونيو.


A user, called Lady Nana, posted that she was very happy when the President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, then-Minister of Defense, announced the ouster of Morsi and his regime.

Ibrahim Bahrad has posted a video showing hundreds of Egyptians in the northern coastal city of Alexandria ceebrate the end of Brotherhood’s regime.

Meanwhile, another user described the mass protests as “a tsunami” that ousted the ruling of outlawed Muslim Brotherhood Guidance.

User Nabil Ragab posted a screenshot of main headline of the state-owned Al-Ahram newspaper, which titled “Ultimatum,” in an indication to Sisi’s a 24-hour period of time to all political parties to set up a roadmap for good governance.

The date June 30, 2013 was engraved into Egypt’s history as the date that Egypt freed itself from the shackles of the outlawed terrorist organization that sought to destabilize the country while pushing it to the brinks of failure.
