CAIRO, June 16 (MENA) - Cairo Criminal Court adjourned on Sunday till July 21 the trial of 215 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group in the case known in the media as "Helwan Brigades".

The decision was made to complete hearing the defense pleadings.

The suspects are accused of forming an armed group called "Helwan Brigades" with the aim of carrying out attacks against policemen and destroying property and public facilities, as well as vandalizing of electricity towers and transformers.

In February 2015, Egypt's top prosecutor had ordered the 215 suspects to be referred to criminal court, while keeping 127 of them in pretrial detention, until the remaining suspects are captured and brought to justice.

During investigations and questioning, 51 suspects admitted of joining the armed group and illegally possessing fire arms and ammunition, as well as explosives.
