CAIRO - 6 June 2019: A security delegation from the UK Department for Transport will check security measures at Cairo International Airport (CIA) next week.
That will be the second visit by the delegation within a month. The visit is a routine procedure assumed by UK authorities to ensure the safety of passengers heading to London in particular. The security measures at CIA have often met the criteria.
The delegation will observe the security procedures EgyptAir passengers are subjected to since they reach the terminal until they board the plane.
The delegation undertook a one-day visit last week to check the security system followed by the passengers of British Airways London flights.
