Watch iT signs deal to present Media Production City's content

CAIRO – 4 June 2019: Egypt’s new video streaming app Watch iT, owned by the Egyptian Media Group, announced signing a deal with the Egyptian Media Production City, which allows Watch iT to present the city's artistic content on the new app's platform.

Signing the deal, Watch iT emphasized some points in a statement:

Watch IT, as an Egyptian state-owned company responsible for protecting, preserving and displaying the artistic content of the Egyptian TV's archive, will not allow further piracy on any of the artistic materials or creative content owned by the Egyptian TV or recorded and photographed in the Media Production City.

Watch iTannounces that it seeks, through signing the agreement with the Media Production City, to maximize the benefit for Egyptian producers, protect the Egyptian drama content as well asthe rights of Egyptian creators, and open new horizons for drama, all according to the law, and in coordination with the producers.

The company announced that it will not only protect and display the Egyptian TV content; it will also have great production surprises in the future, where the stars of the digital platforms will compete to present Egyptian drama and films to the world.
