DMC makes a video exposes HRW’s lies regarding Sinai

CAIRO – 30 May 2019: Human Rights Watch issued a report on Egypt regarding the situation in Sinai. When experts analyzed the report and examined every point in it separately, they deemed it unreasonable and unfounded.

Over the past five years, HRW’s reports on the situation in Egypt and specifically in Sinai depended on sources provided by the Muslim Brotherhood. The report that was issued on May 28 by HRW aims to draw a dark image of the situation in Sinai, despite the international recognition of the success of the military operation. Numbers of terrorist attacks on North Sinai dropped significantly since the beginning of Sinai Operation 2018. Moreover, life in Sinai is normal, but maybe HRW’s experts did notice that all the schools, government directorates, hospitals have been operating normally over the past 18 months. 2018 presidential elections and 2019 constitutional referendum held in North Sinai normally without any delay.

DMC Satellite channel made a video to refute all the allegations mentioned in HRW’s report on Sinai, the video was made in North Sinai to capture the normal life and the growing stability in the governorate that witnessed growing insurgency during the past 6 years.

The footage displays testimonies of the residents of North Sinai who refuted all the allegations brought up by HRW’s report, asserting that they are enjoying the growing stability as the schools and universities are back and the market is revived and flourish.

The video presenter held interviews with citizens from different classes and of different ages, all of them asserted that their governorate is restoring normal life after years of fighting the armed terrorist militias who turned their lives into a nightmare.

Scenes from schools, hospitals, Universities, and markets are undisputed evidence of the normal life in Sinai, denying all the fabricated incidents mentioned in HRW’s report. The citizens praised the efforts made by the Egyptian Military forces to eradicate the terrorism in the peninsula.

Citizens appearing in the video said that their governorate is gradually regaining its normality, addressing at the same time the existing challenges, however, they do not debunk the significant improvement.
