CAIRO - 28 May 2019: The "Long Live Egypt" fund has distributed 20,000 new clothes items to most in need families in seven governorates.
The clothes were distributed through the Egyptian clothing bank and 11 NGOs on the occasion of the Lesser Bairam due next week.
The clothes are provided by a number of importers, as well as manufacturers of ready-to-wear garments inside Egypt, with the aim to bring joy to most in need families.
"We're seeking to bring joy to as many orphans and families of female inmates as possible, and other most in need segments during the Lesser Bairam," said director of the fund Tamer Abdel Fattah Tuesday.
This is done as part of a "Dokkan el Farha" (joy shop) initiative, Abdel Fattah said, noting that about 52,000 pieces of clothing have so far been secured and should go to 22,000 beneficiaries across Egypt.
