Azhar imam hails prevailing spirit of fraternity among Muslims, Copts

CAIRO - 27 May 2019: Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb hailed Sunday the prevailing spirit of fraternity and peace among Egyptian Muslims and Copts.

El Tayyeb made the remarks during his meeting with a delegation of the Episcopal Church led by Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East Mouneer Hanna Anis.

During the meeting, Bishop Mouneer Hanna greeted the grand imam on the near advent of Eid El Fitr, lauding the role of Al Azhar, which he describes as a successful national model that should be copied in different fields.
