Police raids 2 terrorist hideouts in Cairo suburbs

CAIRO - 20 May 2019: Security forces raided two terrorist hideouts in the 6th of October City and Al Shorouk cities. The fire exchange resulted in the death of seven and five terrorists, respectively.

The forces found in the former four firearms, a birdshot shotgun, R-salt, nitrates, electrical circuits, and other materials used to manufacture explosives. In the latter, the police confiscated five shotguns, three shotgun magazines, and four explosive devices.

The first cell belongs to the terrorist organization, Hasm, while the second is affiliated with the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood. The National Security Sector at the Ministry of Interior that Hasm had received orders from the armed branch of the brotherhood abroad to carry out hostile operations in the country.
