DUSSELDORF, Germany, May 11 (MENA) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese on Saturday called on the German people to visit Egypt and read its rich human history that gathers the Pharaonic, Coptic and Islamic civilizations.
Leading Saturday's Mass at the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Dusseldorf, the pontiff prayed for peace and love to spread everywhere, extending thanks to the Germans and staff of the Egyptian embassy for warm hospitality.
He also greeted Ambassador Badr Abdel Aati and Egyptian diplomats in Germany on the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
Pope Tawadros II arrived in Dusseldorf earlier in the day, starting a pastoral journey to Germany.
