Egypt takes part in ISESCO general conference

CAIRO, May 10 (MENA) - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has delegated his deputy for technical affairs Mohamed el Tayeb to take part in the third extraordinary session of ISESCO general conference, which runs from May 9 to 10 in Saudi Arabia, the cabinet's spokesman said on Friday.

According to him, at the beginning of its meetings, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) named Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik as its new director general to succeed Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri for two successive terms.

The higher education minister congratulated Malik on his new post and thanked the former director general for his efforts during his chairmanship of ISESCO, the spokesman said.
