African justice ministers to meet in Cairo Monday

CAIRO, May 5 (MENA) - African justice ministers will meet Monday in Cairo to endorse a project to merge the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) into the African Union (AU).

The ministers will also discuss the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), said legal advisor to the AU Namira Negm Sunday.

They will also put the final touches to draft legal instruments outlined by the AU Commission, Negm added.

Recommendations to be reached by the justice ministers tomorrow should be referred to the executive council of African foreign ministers for ratification in July, she noted.
