CAIRO – 8 June 2017: Djibouti reduced its diplomatic status with Qatar on Wednesday, Al Arabiya News Channel reported.

Senegal also decided to recall its ambassador in Qatar for consultations and expressed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries. All of which have cut ties to Qatar, in a Wednesday statement.

On Tuesday, The West African country of Mauritania, a member of the Arab League, severed ties with Qatar over allegations that it “supports terrorists.” Gabon also proceeded to condemn Qatar.

On Monday, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain announced they are severing relations with Qatar over “its continuous support to terrorism,” closing their airspace and seaports to Qatari traffic.
