Sisi praises army's strength in memory of Ramadan victory

CAIRO – 7 June 2017: Egypt's army is the main guarantee of the stability and security of the country, said President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi during a celebration of the 44th anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan war victory.

Sisi participated in the iftar meal organized by the Armed Forces on the occasion of the Ramadan victory, where he delivered a short speech to the attendants. Sisi praised the patriotic role of Egyptian army in protecting the country from different threats, highlighting its strength and cohesion in the face of major challenges.

The event was held in the presence of the former president Adly Mansour, the Parliament's speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers, as well as the leaders of the armed forces and the police.

The president applauded the efforts exerted by Mansour, as he led the country wisely in a very critical period.

Sisi also expressed his appreciation for the armed forces' efforts in securing the country from the internal and external dangers currently facing it. He stressed that Egypt will always remember with all respect the martyrs and victims of the army and police who have sacrificed their lives for Egypt.

At the end of his speech, the president demanded all state agencies to carry out their jobs professionally so that they could achieve the targeted development that the Egyptian people aspire.
