PARIS, March 30 (MENA) - French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated his country's objection to the US recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, France 24 channel reported Saturday, citing a statement by the Elysee.
Macron made the remark during his meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II in Paris.
The recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the occupied Golan contravenes international law and will lead to nothing but fomenting regional tension, especially the Syrian file and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the statement quoted Macron as saying.
