RAMALLAH, March 30 (MENA) - President Mahmoud Abbas said Palestine will only be for the Palestinians and that the free and independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital is inevitable and definitely going to happen, WAFA news agency reported on Saturday.

Marking the 43rd anniversary of the Land Day, Abbas added that “the suffering of our people over 100 years and the enormous sacrifices made by this great people will not go to waste.”

“The immortal Land Day anniversary is a time for our people to renew their commitment to the constants and to uphold the accomplishments. With the steadfastness of our people, we are able to thwart all plots hatched against them,” he added.

The President saluted those who died on the Land Day and all those who died for Palestine, as well as the wounded and prisoners, stressing that no one is going to give up on demanding freedom of the prisoners.
