CAIRO - 6 June 2017: A coalition for Qatari opposition has been formed in the Swiss capital, Sheikha Noor bint Ahmed Al-Thani said on Tuesday.
The coalition formed a national salvation government which seeks to “restore the unity of the Arabs” that Thani says was disrupted by the current Qatari regime in 1972 when it seized power in a coup against the “legitimate ruler.”
Thani said that she will act to reinstate the power of members of the Al-Ahmed family.
Thani is set to present a memorandum to the General Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on the crimes that were committed by Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah, Hamad bin Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah and Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr bin Mohammed. This falls under the jurisdiction of the Court in support of Article 5 of the primary law of the ICC for 1998.
A number of Arab countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Libya and Yemen, cut all diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting and funding terrorist groups.
