CAIRO – 6 June 2017: Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied “really talking” to U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn at a 2015 gala dinner in Moscow.

After a photo circulated on the internet of both Flynn and Putin attending the gala dinner in honor of Russia’s RT television network, allegations of relations between Putin and the Donad Trump administration circulated as well.

However, the Russian president downplayed any relations he had with Flynn, including at the dinner, in an NBC News interview with Megyn Kelly Sunday night.

Putin stated, “I made my speech, then I talked about some other stuff, then I got up and left. And then afterwards I was told 'Do you know that was an American gentleman and he was involved in some things? He used to be in the security services.' That's it. I didn't even really talk to him."

In February, Flynn was fired for lying about his relations with Russia’s envoy to the U.S.
