CAIRO – 06 June 2017: “Egyptians in Qatar are panicked and anticipate for any decision demands them to leave” Said head of Egyptian community in Qatar Mohamed Al Eraqi after Egypt and other Gulf countries announced early morning cutting diplomatic ties with Qatar.

Al Eraqi added that Egyptians’ panic decreased after Qatar foreign ministry stated that Qatari –Egyptian relations will not affect the normal life of citizens’ who live in Qatar. AL Shorouk reported.

“300 thousand Egyptians live in Qatar and work in fields like medicine, engineering, accounting and law” Iraqi Said. Denying ending the jobs of some Egyptians , clarifying that the decision is among serious of procedures that represent Qatar’s vision of administrative replacement Policy that replaces all nationalities with Qatari citizens especially in governmental and administrative jobs. Al Masry Al Youm reported.

Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram communicated with Iraqi to check on the Egyptian community in Qatar, Egypt’s Ministry of Immigration and Expatriates stated Monday.

“Makram was the first Egyptian official to communicate with me, and I offered her a full explanation about the situation in Qatar” Iraqi said.
The Ministry of Immigration launched a hot line to receive any urgent requests or demands from Egyptians in Qatar, calling for the citizens to communicate with the Ministry. Statement added.


Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain announced cutting their diplomatic ties with Qatar, early Monday, over "its continuous support for terrorism.”
