Egypt's top prosecutor orders investigation into Ramsis railway crash

CAIRO - 27 February 2019: General Prosecutor Nabil Sadek on Wednesday ordered an urgent and expanded investigation into the fire that broke out at Cairo's Ramsis Railway Station, causing death and injuries.

Sadek ordered the disclosure of the causes of the incident.

Egyptian National Railways ordered halting rail traffic after a fire broke out at the main train station. Photographs on social media showed clouds of black smoke billowing from the building in central Cairo.
