Health min. launches national polio vaccination campaign

PORT SAID, Egypt - 24 February 2019: Health Minister Hala Zayed and Port Said Governor Adel el Ghadban launched on Sunday the national campaign for polio vaccination.

About 90,000 medics take part in the nationwide campaign which will continue until February 27.

Zayed said she was keen to launch the polio campaign which will be implemented alongside other major national health campaigns including those of the "100 Million Healthy Lives" and "Hepatitis C".

Ghadban said medical teams will visit houses and nurseries in urban and rural areas to ensure vaccinating children aging between day one and five years.

He urged citizens to cooperate with the medical teams.
