CAIRO, Feb 23 (MENA) - Immigration Minister Nabila Makram said the third edition of "Roots Revival" initiative (Nostos 3), set to be launched in late March, aims at boosting cultural and trade cooperation among the Egyptian, Greek and Cypriot expat communities in Australia.
At a meeting with Ambassador of Australia in Cairo Glenn Miles on Saturday, Makram discussed preparations for the third round of the initiative. She pointed to the joint coordination and cooperation in various fields which serve the expats of the two countries.
Through the coming edition, Cairo, Athens, and Nicosia are looking forward to beefing up the trade cooperation and holding a number of meetings with Australian officials and diplomats, the minister noted.
It will also include organizing meetings between Egyptian and Australian businessmen and encouraging cooperation among the youths of the three countries, she also said.
Miles, for his part, hailed Makram's action plan which aims at benefiting from the common factors between Egypt and Australia.
He promised to exert utmost efforts to render the coming edition successful, lauding the earlier editions of “Roots Revival” initiative.
